Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.

An exception occured while reading from the socket CitrixPooledSocket(307:Key(<key>)). [Log ID: <ID>].
|English: Request a translation of the event description in plain English.|
A pooled socket most likely timed out through lack of use, and the operating system of the server running the XML Service closed it. When Web Interface tries to use this socket it cannot and has to use another one, logging this event as a side effect. See "Citrix Support Document ID: CTX111057" for details on this issue.
In my case, either a change in DNS or a reboot broke the established STA authority connection in the Citrix Application Gateway appliance / Web Interface. Substituting the STA server's FQDN with the server's IP address solved the problem. If the IP address is not desired, then troubleshoot DNS further, or resubmit the hosts under the "Secure Ticket Authority" tab on the appliance or server.
See ME238131 for information on how to disable socket pooling.
To stop this error from occurring, turn off socket pooling.
