|Concepts to understand:|
What is a DLL?
What is causing the “The description for Event ID ( … ) in Source ( …. ) cannot be found… “?
Plusmpix (mentioned in the event) is a component of Microsoft Plus for Windows XP multimedia add-on. See EV100149 for details about Plus. This event may be caused by a problem between the nVidia video driver and the PlusMpix component.
Instead of the whole "The description for..." the event should actually read:
NVIEW : plusmpix: WAIT_TIMEOUT: (process 0x334) (thread 0xf70) (wait 0x9) (pwait 0x4) WindowManager.cpp 2861
There are many other similar events, with different programs that cause a timeout for nView. For most of them, the common denominator is the use of a highly intensive video application (such as games or video processors).
This message is related to drivers for graphic cards with NVIDIA chipsets. Try installing the latest drivers from NVIDIA, or if this problem appeared after you just installed the latest drivers try to rollback the drivers and see if it helps you to get rid of the problem.
