What is ACPI?
This event indicates that the operating system stopped an attempt to write to an illegal IO port address. Allowing that may lead to system instability and loss of data. In many cases this indicates a faulty driver so the first step would be to update the firmware and the drivers for all the hardware installed.
Some support forums indicate that this event may also be recorded on computers infected with root kits/Trojans.
Some newsgroup posts suggest updating the motherboard firmware.
