Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.

What is username mapping?
This event can occur every 30 minutes, on Windows 2000 Srv with Services for UNIX (SFU)not properly configured. ME296156 says "Every 30 minutes, the NFS server checks with the Username Mapping service to determine whether any changes have been made to the mapping database." To work around this, configure user Mapping in Administration of SFU.
