Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.
Cannot register the URL prefix "http://*:80/" for site "1". The necessary network binding may already be in use. The site has been deactivated. The data field contains the error number.

We had this problem with an IIS server hosting multiple SSL Web sites. A couple of these web sites were set to "All Unassigned" in the web site properties -> Web Site -> Advanced button -> Multiple SSL identities for the Web Site. Because the sites were not bound to a particular virtual IP on the SSL side, the sites stopped and wigged out. There were errors relating to how another site was using the same port and sometimes that files were in use. The affected sites would not start. We also saw traffic on the firewall for each affected site going to one particular site instead of the sites they were supposed to go to. Binding each site to an IP for both port 80 and port 443 (SSL) solved this problem.
This may occur if another application (i.e. another web server) is using port 80.
