Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.

What is causing the “The description for Event ID ( … ) in Source ( …. ) cannot be found… “?
This is caused by an invalid key in registry. See CTX101639.
I was having this error every once an hour. I stopped and disabled the ADF Installer service. After that I didn't get any of these messages. I am using Citrix MetaFrame with Windows 2000 Server.
From a newsgroup post: "The Gemini Installer is from the Citrix Installation Manager and is used to
install ADF packages. If you aren't creating and distributing ADF packages via Installation Manager, you don't need the service."
