Event ID: 1022 Source: POP3Connector

An error occurred with the connection to the POP3 server (mailbox <[email protected] []>) while downloading the message <id:{C8F64F31-88D6-45C1-97A0-12FCC60B95CC}>. The error is <error code> (<error message>).
This happened to us when Exchange 2003 POP3 connector tried to download email from our email provider. The users email wasn't downloaded to Exchange. Looked at the users webmail on our providers site and there was a .lnk file that was stopping the rest of the emails from coming through. We deleted the .lnk file and the users email came through. I'm guessing that Exchange looks at certain attachments and rejects them if it's on a blocked list. Where this list is, I don't know. But Exchange won't let you download any other emails until the .lnk email is deleted.
