Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.
Windows cannot query for the list of Group Policy objects. A message that describes the reason for this was previously logged by the policy engine.

What is the Group Policy?
As per Microsoft: "This behavior may occur if the following conditions are true: your Windows XP-based computer is a member of a domain, and the Microsoft Distributed File System (DFS) client is turned off (disabled). To resolve this issue, turn on (enable) the DFS client". See ME314494 to find out how to do this. Also check ME810907 for a hotfix.
