Event ID: 1038 Source: Microsoft-Windows-FailoverClustering

Level
Description
Ownership of cluster disk 'DiskResource' has been unexpectedly lost by this node. Run the Validate a Configuration wizard to check your storage configuration.
Comments

As per ME972797, this can be recorded in specific conditions (You connect a Windows Server 2008 failover cluster node to an external storage device, and you use Microsoft Multipath I/O (MPIO) together with Microsoft Device Specific Module (DSM) to manage the external storage device). If a failover occurs on a back-end disk controller this can be recorded. See the article for a hotfix.
