Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.

Error 0x8E1 occurred sending alert to NT server <server name>.
|English: Request a translation of the event description in plain English.|
This happens when SAV/F for MSE2000 cannot send a "net send" to the computer in question. The administrator disabling or stopping the “Messenger” service on the receiving computer often causes this. To prevent these errors, either enable/start the Messenger service, or disable the Messenger Service Alerts within each policy in SAVFMSE.
