Event ID: 1041 Source: MSExchangeISPublicStore

The rule (1-274D4E) with sequence number 120 is being disabled due to errors encountered while applying the rule. The public folder is Auto-Responders\<name of the public folder> Auto-Responder on database "First Storage Group\Public Folder Store (<name of the Exchange computer)".
If you use a double-byte character set (DBCS) character in the name of a public folder and the DBCS character appears as a question mark (?) in the event message, see ME917256 for a hotfix applicable to Microsoft Exchange Server 2003.

This problem can occur if an antivirus solution that is based on the antivirus application programming interface (API) is under stress on the Exchange Server 5.5 computer at the same time that an autoforward-type public folder rule is running. See ME290621 for a hotfix applicable to Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5.

See MSEX2KDB for additional information about this event.
As per Microsoft: " If you receive an e-mail request by means of Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) with a blank From address ("From:<>") and you have a rule that is configured to send an automatic response on the public folder, the rule may be disabled on the public folder".
