Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.

Temperature sensor detected a failure value
Sensor location: Memory Card A
Chassis location: Main System Chassis
Previous state was: OK (Normal)
Temperature sensor value (in Degrees Celsius): 3.000

This appeared on the console of a Dell 4600 Server, dual 2.4Ghz Xeon processors, 2 gig of RAM running Windows 2000 Server. I'm assuming it just got too warm in the room for the card because about one minute later (enough time for the auxillary fans to kick in) Event 1052 was logged that said "Temperature sensor returned to a normal value".
