Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.

Virtual Server encountered an unexpected error 0x00000003.
|English: Request a translation of the event description in plain English.|
This issue may occur when the XML parser encounters a problem on the local computer. Virtual Server stores configuration information in XML format. A local XML parser is required to read and to interpret this configuration information. See ME888741 for information on solving this problem.
In our case, the reason of the crash was an incomplete installation (although the GUI of the setup stated it was complete) caused by a setup which was started from a network source using a "msi" file. During the final stage of the installation, the network connection becomes temporarily unavailable (Virtual Server exchanges some network drivers) and hence the installation remains incomplete. Starting the installation either using the normal setup.exe or at least from a local copy of the "msi" file solves the problem.
