Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.

It may appear after changing Spooler service. Resolution: Create registry key on: Hkey_Local_machine\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\TerminalServer\Wds\rdpw
This error can also occur if you open a terminal service connection with out logging on. The session will time out, unless the user name and password are entered within a specific time.
In the case of machines that have the spooler disabled, turn off "Windows printer mapping" and "LPT port mapping" on the RDP connection, Administrative Tools | Terminal Services Configuration | Connections |r-click RDP-Tcp | properties | Client Settings tab.
This event is typically generated when a user logs into a server running Citrix Metaframe and the server has its spooler service stopped. As the Metaframe client is trying to map a printer, an error message is recorded in the event log. See ME268065 for more details.
This error can be generated when a user attempts to access a W2K server via Terminal Services, and has not been given the permission to log in via Terminal Services.
To fix this:
- bring up the Terminal Services Configuration window
- right-click the RDP-tcp object and go to "properties"
- click on the "permissions" tab and add the user or group that needs to log on via Terminal Services
This event will also be generated when you log onto a Windows 2000 Server with Terminal Services (RDP) enabled, and have the spooler service stopped.
