Event ID: 11161 Source: DnsApi

The system failed to register pointer (PTR) resource records (RRs) for network adapter with settings:
Adapter Name : {1FFA1A18-8D0F-42C9-B3E3-8A5FF4817F3A}
Host Name : xxxyyy
Adapter-specific Domain Suffix :
DNS server list :,,
Sent update to server : None
IP Address : The reason the system could not register these RRs during the update request was because of a system problem. You can manually retry DNS registration of the network adapter and its settings by typing "ipconfig /registerdns" at the command prompt. If problems still persist, contact your DNS server or network systems administrator. For specific error code, see the record data displayed below.
This issue can occur if you do not have a Reverse Lookup Zone for the network to which the reporting server belongs to. In my case, creating one solved the problem.
A reboot or ipconfig/registerdns fixes this problem temporary.
