Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.

What is an application pool?
IIS application pools can be periodically recycled to avoid unstable states that can lead to application crashes, hangs, or memory leaks. When a certain threshold is reached, it is better to recycle it then let it reach an unstable state. See T735261 for more information about IIS Application Pool Recycling.
ME332088 describes how to modify Application Pool Recycling events in IIS 6.0.
