Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.
The system failed to update and remove host (A) resource records (RRs) for network adapter with settings:
Adapter Name : <name>
Host Name : <computer name>
Primary Domain Suffix : <domain name>
DNS server list : <list>
Sent update to server : <server>
IP Address(es) : <IP address>
The reason for this failure was because of a security related problem. The cause of this could be that (a) your computer does not have permissions to remove and update the specific DNS domain name or IP addresses configured for this adapter or (b) there might have been a problem negotiating valid credentials with the DNS server during the processing of the update request. For specific error code see the record data displayed below.

|Concepts to understand:|
What are the DNS zone files and resource records?
Use the ipconfig /registerdns command to register the computer's network name and address with a DNS server, and then check the event log for errors. To perform this procedure, you must have membership in Administrators, or you must have been delegated the appropriate authority.
