Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.

This problem can occur because Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1-based computers add hard-coded prefixes to Active Directory. Typically, these prefixes are not outgoing-replicated to partner domain controllers. See ME913539 for details.
As per Microsoft: "This problem may occur if an attribute that has an invalid distinguished name reference to an object that is outside the destination forest causes other attributes not to be set on the destination domain controller". See ME832216 for a hotfix.
