<product> -- Error 1928. Error registering COM+ Application.
|English: Request a translation of the event description in plain English.|
This event may occur when you try to install a Microsoft COM+-based Microsoft Windows Installer application proxy on a computer that is running Microsoft Windows XP. See ME921493 to resolve this issue.
- Product: BusinessApp (Application Proxy) - See ME317996 to resolve this problem.
- Product: COMTI Test Server - See ME329456.
This may occur when trying to register a COM+ application proxy package on another server. If the application proxy package was built with an ActiveX DLL that has dependencies, and those dependencies are not on the server where the application proxy is to be installed, then the package registration will fail with this event ID. You can bypass this problem by registering the DLL and its TLB file in the original package, then exporting the package for application proxy. Then, on the destination server, it will only register the TLB, and not try to register the DLL with its dependencies. Refer to ME308940 for additional information.
