Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.

The report server cannot decrypt the symmetric key. Most likely the service account or password has changed. To continue run rsconfig.exe to update the report server account information.

In my case, running rsconfig with a syntax like "rsconfig -c -s <SQL server name> -d reportserver -a Windows -u < domain\account> -p <password>" really solved the problem. Please see the link to “The rsconfig Utility” for information on this utility.
