What is the role of the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service?
This problem can occur if the working directory is missing. See ME919078 to solve this problem.

According to Microsoft, this error is logged when there is a problem converting a message in the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service. See MSEX2K3DB for more details on this event.
As per Microsoft: "This problem may occur if you move the Exchange 2000 information store database files to another folder on the Exchange 2000 computer, and then delete the old folder in which those files were stored". See ME298415 to resolve this problem.
To me looks like the mentioned message is corrupt and the easiest way should be finding the message, recovering the data and then deleting it.
See ME246916 for "How to Find Mailboxes That Contain a Specific Message".
If this is not possible and/or you have a lot of such errors, database maintenance would be highly recommended.
