Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.

According to ME889249, this type of event messages may be logged in the System log in response to a Machine Check Architecture exception. The article provides details on how to identify which processor reported this exception (if there are multiple CPUs). Microsoft recommends contacting the CPU manufacturer (though this hardly a useful suggestion!).
