From compaq customer advisory: "In order to correct this issue, rerun the Compaq Network Teaming and Configuration Utility after the complete set of Compaq support utilities are installed. The Compaq Server Agents for Windows are required in order for the NIC Agents to report the correct slot number in subsequent traps.
Note: In order to install the NIC Agents on the system, the Compaq Server Agents for Windows must be installed. This allows the Compaq Network Teaming and Configuration Utility to prevent this problem from occurring after the NIC Agents are installed.
The complete set of support utilities are available in the Compaq Support Paq for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Version 1.10B (or later). The Support Paq is available for download at the following URL:
