Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.

PROBLEM: Could not establish link.
ACTION: Check network cable.
ACTION: Run PROSet diagnostics.

In the case of a PC with two NICs the Intel card will periodically add this event to the log if there is no cable connected to it. In this case, you may want to disable the NIC to prevent the event log from becoming cluttered.
Occurs every time machine (in this case a domain controller) is restarted. This problem does not occur on the root domain controller. The difference is that these domain controllers are using driver version 3.42.342.0 and the main domain controller is using driver version 2.84.284.0.
Self explanatory. Check network cable. In my case it was a defective cable. After installing a new cable, system worked fine.
