Event ID: 13 Source: VSS

The user name <user name> specified in registry (SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\VSS\VssAccessControl) does not map to a real user name. The entry is ignored.
As per Microsoft, this registry key is used to allow or prevent the VSS writer to use a specific account. This registry key must be set by an individual with access and is not set by VSS itself. In our case, deleting the user account in this registry key fixed out problem. The user referenced in the key was no longer an Active Directory Object. See the link to "Volume Shadow Copy Service Registry Entries" for additional information about this registry key.
