The File Replication Service paused because the size of a file exceeds the staging space limit. Replication will resume only if the staging space limit is increased. To change the staging space limit, run regedit. Click on Start, Run and type regedit.
Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, SYSTEM, CurrentControlSet, Services, NtFrs, Parameters, and the value "Staging Space Limit in KB".

What is the role of File Replication Service?
Viennatech Solutions Inc.
The default staging area on FRS is 600 MB. This was changed in 2000 SP3/4 to 1-2 GB. If you have a file that is too big to fit in the staging area, FRS will attempt to copy it into the stage and then error out with this Event. The simplest way to fix this is to increase the staging area size, or you could simply remove the large file and then keep it off your DFS system. If you do change the size using Regedit, you will need to enter the value in HEX (Or click the "decimal" radio button before entering your number). You will also need to restart FRS to complete this change.
