Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.

Microsoft ISA Server Control Service failed to initialize because the system call %1 failed. The error occurred during %2. Use the source location %3 to report the failure. If an error code appears in the Data area of the event properties, it indicates the cause of the failure. For more information about this event, see ISA Server Help.

|Concepts to understand:|
What are the common reasons for which a service may fail to start?
As per Microsoft:
Explanation: The failure is probably due to insufficient memory or a problem accessing the storage.
User Action: Restart the service. If that does not resolve the problem, close other programs that are running. Use the Task Manager to check programs and processes that are using large amounts of system resources. For more information about managing memory resources, see Windows 2000 Help.
