Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.
An Exchange mailbox could not be created in store '<directory name>' for user '<user name>'.
|English: Request a translation of the event description in plain English.|
This can happen if the account witch is used does not have rights write tot the Exchange database. In my case I temporarily disallowed inheritance rights on the mailbox store and removed the default deny rights.
As per Microsoft: "This is a general account creation failure. There could be many causes for this. For example, if the Active Directory Connector (ADC) was used to create accounts in Active Directory, then these accounts would already have mail attributes. Therefore, when the migration is run, the above error could occur because the migration process sees that the target user already is mail enabled. The same problem can occur if an administrator has explicitly mail-enabled a user in Active Directory BEFORE the migration process is run". See MSEX2K3DB and ME867507 for details on this event.
