What is a DLL?
What is the Removable Storage?
Compare HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Currentcontrolset\control\NTMS\OMID\tape subkeys names with the Media Label Library name. For BrightStor ArcServe Backup the error text is ”Error encountered when attempting to execute Media Label Library "CA"”. Subkey “CA” has Path value that holds the path to the missing dll. Find the dll and copy it to the folder specified by the Path value. Restart the Removable Storage Service. Your event log should now be clear of event 152. For BrightStor ArcServe Backup path is %SystemRoot%\system32\mll_arc.dll.
This can happen if Backup Exec does not install %systemroot%\system32\mll_be.dll for whatever reason. This dll is usually available in the "Program Files\Veritas\Backup Exec\NT" folder. Copy the dll over to the system32 folder and restart the Removable Storage Service. Your event log should now be clear of event 152.
