Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.

On an HP Proliant that was P2V'ed to VMware, we disabled the HP services as the server was no longer running on HP hardware. Then this error was logged. Either re-enable the services or uninstall the HP agents to resolve this issue.
For me this was related to not having cpqasm2.sys driver installed. It is the Advanced System Management driver, and is available in CP005178.exe. Search for it on the HP website.
Use the HP SmartStart CD to install Proliant Support Pack (PSP). It will detect and install appropriate drivers from the CD. Reboot the server when finished. This fixed the Server Agents error on my new DL360 G4 server.
