Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.

I saw this event on WinNT Server 4.0 after upgrading my NIC to a 3Com 3C996 Gigabit Adapter (the B57nt4 is the driver file for the 3Com). It seems that when somebody at a station is using an old DOS application that resides on that server, it resets the SCSI PERC Raid adapter (Dell SCSI card) of the server. After setting the adapter to 100 mbps Full duplex, it multiplies the error by 3 times. 3Com suggests updating to the latest driver.
