What is MAPI?
As per Symantec: NAVMSE 2.1x or 2.5x cannot send email alerts if the Norton AntiVirus for Microsoft Exchange service account is different than the originally configured account". See the link to "Symantec Knowledge Base Document ID: 2001102512162554" for details.
As a general troubleshooting approach: Login using the NAV account and verify that you can open its mailbox.
