Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.
An error occurred while attempting to locate the Service Control Point object for this Windows Deployment Services server in Active Directory Domain Services. There was an error reading the 'netbootSCPBL' attribute from the Computer object. Error Information: <error code>.
|English: Request a translation of the event description in plain English.|
For error 0x51 reading the 'netbootSCPBL' attribute, the M960489 article provides a workaround and a hotfix. Apparently, the Windows Deployment Services (WDS) server in Windows Server 2008 stops working after the authenticating domain controller becomes unavailable.
This problem occurs because the location of the computer object that is running WDS (Windows Deployment Services) has changed in the Active Directory directory service. See ME927770 to solve this problem.
