The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.

The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. I think this resulted from performance graphs created on laptop using perfmon.msc which reference data on the remote machine, these messages are seen when laptop is offsite and 192.168.1.x network is not available. Occurs at login even though graphs have not been opened or perfmon.msc run. The default perfom.msc has 3 local counters being graphed and does not show any remote counter.
