Comments

In my case, I removed Keys 17 and 25, were traces of CISCO Drivers installed from REALTEK N300 Wi-Fi PCI-E Drivers.
1. Regedit
2. HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Eaphost\Methods
Some of the keys and subkeys in that section will match the AuthorIDs and TypeIDs in the detailed XML view of the error seen in Event Viewer.
3. Delete Subkey (Same number as TypeID error)
For a user that was getting this problem when trying to use a wireless network adapter, a Microsoft engineer responded that it was caused by incompatible driver or third party hardware. The suggestion was to uninstall the current driver in Device Manager and then reinstall it in Compatibility Mode.
