Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.
The Open Procedure for service <service name> in DLL <dll name> has taken longer than the established wait time to complete. There may be a problem with this extensible counter or the service it is collecting data from or the system may have been very busy when this call was attempted.
|English: Request a translation of the event description in plain English.|
|Concepts to understand:|
What is a DLL?
What are the performance counters?
This error occurs after a reboot of the server because Resource Manger is attempting to query counters of a service(s) that have not yet started. See the link to "Citrix Support Document ID: CTX587401" to solve this problem.
As per Microsoft: "The performance counter provider could not return performance counter data within the specified open timeout period. Either there is a problem with this performance counter provider or the service it is collecting data from, or the system was too busy when this call was made". See MSW2KDB for more details.
Check ME226494 for more details. See the comments regarding the Open Timeout registry value.
