I also had this problem and resolved it by clearing the SQL Remote Access Logging configuration and restarting.
I started getting this error when a partition was deleted and disk space relocated with Partition Magic. RRAS log file was configured to point to the deleted partition and prevented RRAS from starting. Reconfigure RRAS to change log path somewhere else.
I have had this problem when I was logging the “iaslog.log” file onto a remote drive, which was not available. As soon as I changed the location to somewhere writable, the problem disappeared.
Error: "The system cannot find the file specified". Occured after changing authentication to Radius from Windows Authentication.
Error: "The authentication server did not respond to authentication requests in a timely fashion". From a newsgroup post: "Instead of using the RRAS wizard to set everything up I checked the <<Enable but configure manually option>>. Everything started fine. And the configuration setting were fine."
