Microsoft article ME885719 describes a situation in which this event occurs.
The Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005 Administrator console does not include a way to show the progress of a computer discovery scan. Therefore, when you run a computer discovery scan, another MOM administrator may unintentionally start another computer discovery scan before your computer discovery scan is completed. This event indicates computer discovery progress. See ME883343 for more information on this event.
