Event ID: 2152 Source: MSExchangeADAccess

Process <process name> (PID=<pid>). An remote procedure call (RPC) request to the Microsoft Exchange Active Directory Topology service failed with error <error code> (<error description>). Make sure that the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service is running. In addition, make sure that the network ports that are used by RPC are not blocked by a firewall.
Event 2152 can also be caused by an existing installation of Microsoft Exchange Server 2003. If you are receiving this error when you run the Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Setup program together with the /prepareAD switch, you will need to perform the steps outlined in ME936907 to resolve your issues. This should only be performed if the default groups have been modified.
I have seen this problem while installing Exchange Server 2007. After pointing the server to a Windows DNS server instead of a UNIX box, this error was solved.
This event may occur if the RPC service is stopped or disabled. This event may also occur if the ports that are used by the RPC service are blocked by a firewall. See MSEX2K3DB for additional information about this event.
