What is the role of the Exchange MTA Service?
As per Microsoft: "This event indicates that there was an internal error. This can occur if the message transfer agent (MTA) database is corrupt or the MTA DAT files are not accessible for some reason". See MSEX2K3DB for additional information about this event.
The MTA terminated due to a resource shortage. See ME155302 to find out how you can avoid this resource shortage.
As per Microsoft: "This problem can also occur when an internal list within the MTA, called the Intentions List, becomes corrupt". See ME169690 for more details.
