Event ID: 24 Source: W32Time

Description
Time Provider NtpClient: No valid response has been received from domain controller {DC FQDN} after 8 attempts to contact it. This domain controller will be discarded as a time source and NtpClient will attempt to discover a  new domain controller from which to synchronize.
Comments

I had this problem with a W2K3 Server synchronizing with the DC. This problem appeared because the DC's Windows time service had been stopped and disabled.
This Event ID is typically seen along with W32Time Event ID 29 (Error). If the OS on your DC's is Win2k3, this warning on your client PCs may indicate a need to apple hotfix ME830092 to your Domain Controllers. Note that this patch has not been regression tested and is not indicated if you do not see Event ID 50 on your DC's.
