Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.
The description for Event ID ( 304 ) in Source ( jconfigdNT ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of the event: Hummingbird JConfig Daemon.

What is causing the “The description for Event ID ( … ) in Source ( …. ) cannot be found… “?
I have received this event ever since installing v7.1 of Hummingbird HostExplorer.
I contacted Hummingbird support and this is the response:
Thankfully this is an easy one to fix and there are 2 ways to do it. The error is being generated by a typical installation installing the java based component jconfigdnt which requires the Sun or Microsoft JVM.
1) Install the JVM from Microsoft or Sun, or
2) From control panel ->Administrative tools-> Services and set Hummingbird Jconfigdnt to manual and disable the service.
I have set the service to manual and the event has not been logged since.
