What is an HRESULT?
The Password for the LCService has expired. Reset the password in AD and re-associate the new password with the Live Communication Server service.
This problem appeared on an LCS proxy server. Looking at other events in the event log pointed to a missing "Next Hop" server. I added this, and the service then started fine.
