Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. This Windows NT computer is configured as a member of a workgroup, not as a member of a domain. The Netlogon service does not need to run in this configuration.
|English: Request a translation of the event description in plain English.|
|Concepts to understand:|
What is the role of the Netlogon service?
What is the role of the Netlogon share?
As per Microsoft, this error occurs when the Netlogon service has been configured to start automatically on the stand-alone server. The Netlogon service should not be configured to start automatically on a server that is not a domain member. Configure the Netlogon service so that its startup type is set to Manual. See ME182720.
