Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.
The DHCP allocator detected network address translation (NAT) enabled on the interface with index '<number>'. The allocator has disabled itself on the interface in order to avoid confusing DHCP clients.
|English: Request a translation of the event description in plain English.|
|Concepts to understand:|
What is DHCP?
What is a DHCP Lease?
As per Microsoft: "This issue can occur if the NAT service logging level is set to log errors and warnings. The message in the above section is a warning that states that the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) allocator service is not binding to the public interface. This behavior is by design."
