Event ID: 3153 Source: DNS

The DNS server encountered an error writing to file. Most likely the server disk is full. Free some disk space at the server and re-initiate zone write. The event data is the error code.
As per Microsoft: "Explanation: You might not have permission to access this file.
User Action: Check the permissions on the specified file:
1) In Windows Explorer, go to the Systemroot\System32\Dns folder.
2) Right-click the specified database file, and then click Properties.
3) Click the Security tab, and then click Permissions.
4) Verify that you have the proper permissions to read, write, and then run the file". See MSDN info on EventID 3153 from source DNS for more details.

Disk space was down to 60MB, 98%. This event occurred every hour until fixed. After I freed up some space, zone writes started again with the Information event 3150.
See ME287513 for a list of Windows 2000 DNS event messages.
