Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.

Backup Exec Alert: Job Failed
(Server: "Server01") (Job: "Backup Name") Backup Name-- The job failed with the following error: Resources specified for snapshot do not have any valid data on them. Check if files were deleted or renamed.
|English: Request a translation of the event description in plain English.|
This error may also originated at the lack of free memory. In our case, the memory consumption was at 92% causing failed backup jobs with this specific error. (The error text indicates a VSS problem which is misleading). After rebooting the server, the used memory was at 39% - and the backup job did run again.
