What are the common reasons for a link to be down?
This event is reported by a network adapter driver when it cannot physically communicate with the network (no signal). A typical example is when the network cable gets unplugged but there could be other causes as well. See the "What are the common reasons for a link to be down?" article for more details and suggested troubleshooting.
