Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.
Printer <printer name> is pending deletion.
|English: Request a translation of the event description in plain English.|
This event appears if you tried to close your connection to the printer while you have print jobs that the printer is working on. When the print jobs are completed, your connection to the printer will be deleted. See MSW2KDB for more details.
I received this event because there were still printer jobs in the queue. I double-clicked on the printer and deleted the jobs. Although it took about 30 seconds to delete the jobs, once they were gone, the printer job status window closed, the printer automatically deleted itself, and logged an EventID 3 from source Print.
