Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.
WSAGetLastError() returned error: An address incompatible with the requested protocol was used.
|English: Request a translation of the event description in plain English.|
From a newsgroup post: "Telnet had IPV6 code in XPe. The Telnet Server tries to open a socket with IPV6 address and if it fails it logs the eventlog you're seeing and tries with IPV4 and will be successful (event saying "Telnet Service was started successfully"). This is not harmful. You can safely ignore the errors in the event viewer."
